Fairfax Asphalt was founded in 1969 by John Pfaff. After working several years in the asphalt industry, John decided to buy a dump truck and paver and started improving driveways throughout the north metro. After 43 years of service, John retired and sold the family business to his daughter Kristin. To this day he is still actively involved in the company driving truck and helping out on the crew.
Kristin Pfaff has always looked up to her father and had a hand in the business since she was a little girl. She started working full-time on the paving crew in 1999 while attending college. Kristin took over the company in 2003 when John retired. The 2012 season marks the 10th year of successfully operating and growing the business. Kristin will be your main contact and involved from your estimate through project completion. She oversees all aspects of the business’ operations and it’s likely you’ll still see her on the paving crew a few days a week!
